Craziest and weirdest Restaurant Across the World!

Pelican Bar (Jamaica South Coast):
The Pelican Bar is located on a sand bar roughly 3/4 of a mile off of Jamaica’s South Coast.  It is one of the most unique places in the world to witness a sunset.  The Pelican Bar specializes in Red Stripe beer and local rum.  We highly recommend a visit to this unusual property, even though it is not an official restaurant (food must be prearranged and brought out by boat).

Bed Restaurant (Miami):
BED is the most relaxing dining spot in the city. Huge mattresses with mounds of pillows let you relax with a hot date or a small party, after you place your shoes in a cubby and put on BED’s complimentary socks. The trance music and slow-motion videos projected on screens attempt to soothe you, as do creative drinks like the blackberry julep, a new, fresh-fruit take on the mint julep.

Military-Themed ‘Buns and Guns’ Restaurant (Lebanon):
At Buns & Guns in Beirut, Lebanon, everything is military themed – from the decor and names of the menu items to the helicopter sounds that play constantly in the background.

Hospital Themed Restaurant (Latvia):
A unique, weird restaurant has opened in Riga, Latvia named “Hospitalis“.It is a must-see place if you like gore things. The restaurant looks like a medicine cabinet, while you are treated as a patient and taken good care by the long-legged waitresses in nurses uniforms. The food is served in flasks and operating-room’s dishes and isn’t that cheap (7 and more lats per meal), but this is a bizarre experience that is worth breaking the bank. Besides, the place is owned by local doctors, but unfortunately, the president of Latvia, who is also a doctor, declined his appearance at the opening once he realized how weird this place actually is.

Death Themed Restaurant (Ukraine):
A group of Ukranian undertakers have constructed the first death-themed restaurant – built inside a 65ft-long coffin. Inside you’ll find funeral wreaths, black shrouded walls and human-sized coffins. Menu items include dishes with names like “Let’s meet in paradise”.

Modern Toilet Restaurant (Taiwan):
Taiwan has one of a chain of restaurants called Modern Toilet where you sit on a toilet and eat from a toilet shaped bowl. Modern Toilet is a restaurant in Taipei, Taiwan with a modern decor and a full-on toilet theme. All 100 seats in the crowded diner are made from toilet bowls, not chairs. Sink, faucets and gender-coded “WC” signs appear throughout the three-storey facility, one of 12 in an island-wide chain of eateries.

Undersea Restaurant (Maldives):
the Ithaa Undersea Restaurant still interesting to talk about. Known as the first-ever transparent undersea restaurant in the world, the restaurant sitting five meters below the sea level of the Indian Ocean, surrounded by a vibrant coral reef and encased in clear acrylic offering diners 270-degrees of panoramic underwater views.

Sky Restaurant (Belgium):
This strange restaurant combines the delights of dining with a thrill of well, a thrill ride. You’ll travel about 150 feet into the sky before you chow down on a gourmet meal prepared mid-air. Restaurant uses a mobile crane to lift its entire 22-seat open-air dining room over city streets all over Europe.

Creative and Incredible Restaurants

 Club: Cuckoo
5,000 square feet of opulent design tinged with rock and roll influences, The Cuckoo Club offers world class mixologists, a nightclub open till the early hours and a destination restaurant headed up by culinary genius Rupert Blease. This is a club design by the company blacksheep, this is straight glamor out of a hip hop.

Blue Frog restaurant
The Blue Frog acoustic lounge and studio in Mumbai, India is designed by Serie architects. It’s a 1,000-square-meter complex that includes a club, restaurant, lounge, sound stage, recording studio and sound lab, all encased within the massive walls of an old warehouse in Mumbai’s mill district. Blue Frog does its job in a way that is totally stylish – not a tacky thing or overdone in sight. And everyone’s table is definitely on level ground, although it does not appear so first. The entire look of the place is highly sophesticated and futuristic.

Banq Restaurant
This is the best new restaurant in Boston by Office dA. The wall and ceilings are decorate using wave element made from unique pieces of three-quarter-inch birch plywood adhered together in a scenario that likens to a puzzle; only one possible location for each unit, formulating the continuous member. Below the ceiling, the functional aspects of a dining space are fabricated with warm woods and relaminated bamboo amplifying the striping affect already at play throughout the space.

The Red Sea Star underwater Restaurant and Bar
This amazing Red Sea Star is the first underwater Restaurant and Bar, located in Eilat, Israel. A 15 ft. below the surface of the Red Sea’s coral reef. A breathtaking view of hundreds of various tropical sea creatures in the colorful coral garden is seen through 62 panoramic amorphous windows surrounding the observatory, located five meters below the sea level. Chairs take the form of sea-urchins and jelly fish, lights are starfish shaped and sand lies under an epoxy bonded floor, even the menu reflects the underwater theme, which given the setting seems somewhat disturbing.

Honeycomb Restaurant
The Chinese restaurant Honeycomb in Shenzhen by SAKO architect built in the 1300 square meters area, Honeycomb has large hall for group and for private it available VIP rooms. The restaurant using white opaque surface for large space partition and transparent acrylic surface in small space, they appear like ‘honeycomb’. In the theme of ‘unordinary space’, the ‘Honeycomb’ presented us with the idea where customers can enjoy their meal and the space at the same time.

Kurve Restaurant
This restaurant  in New York that have a strong identities designed by Karim Rashid. Kurve design concept is how to make another world for an evening dinner, ovaloid-shaped windows, sinuous walls and booths, soft organic lounge chair, white glass communal table, ceiling-to-floor amorphous bar these are beautiful stuff that gives the guests a hyper visual experience. See the floor plan for more layout detail.

Dolce & Gabbana Gold Restaurant

Dolce & Gabbana opened a restaurant in Milan with smooth and shimmering golden accents everywhere. Gold Restaurant serves international Italian food, and has several levels including a downstairs bistro that opens at lunchtime and a more formal upstairs that serves dinner only. Although the thought of an entire Gold restaurant my seem over the top and gaudy, the décor of the many leveled building is effortlessly sophisticated, chic, and at times breathtaking.

Fight of top pilot in every country in the world in the sky!

The Saga International Balloon Fiesta is held at the beginning of November every year in Saga Prefecture, Japan. In 2009 it will take place between October 30 and November 3.
The fiesta is held just outside of Saga City, along the Kase River. It has grown from a gathering of 5 hot air balloons to a competition where over 3500 people volunteer, and has gained a reputation as one of the top ballooning competitions in the world. It is also a popular time for tourists as the Karatsu Kunchi Festival is held at the same time in Karatsu City. Since 1980 the launch site has been visited by over 10 million spectators.
For the duration of the event, a temporary JR station (Balloon Saga Station) ferries passengers between Saga City and Kubota.

History
The fiesta started in 1978 in Amagi City, Fukuoka Prefecture, as a smaller ballooning event, the Balloon Fiesta in Kyushu. In 1980 the Fiesta was moved to the outskirts of Saga City, where there is more room. In 1984 it became an international competition and was given its present name; in the same year the first Japanese National Hot Air Balloon Championship was held, and balloonists from all over Japan came to the grounds.
Since 1984 there have been approximately 640 balloons from overseas participants (nearly 3000 crew and pilots). In 1990 the first Pacific Championship was held in Saga. Between 1990 and 1996 women from around the world gathered to participate in the Ladies World Cup. Saga was the first place to have a competition of this kind.
Beginning in 1992 a category for special shaped balloons, called Balloon Fantasia was created. Also started at this time was the La Montgolfier Nocturne (The Night of Hot Air Balloons); tethered inflated balloons light their burners in a choreographed manner, illuminating their unique shapes. This is a highlight of the fiesta.
In November 1997 the 13th Hot Air Balloon World Championships were again held in Saga. With numbers rarely seen outside of the United States, this event was attended by over 38 countries and territories. There were 112 balloons present for the World Championship and together with the balloons that were competing in the Honda Grand Prix Final Battle, Balloon Fantasia, and official balloons there were 170 balloons flying through the skies of Saga.
In 1997, special days during the Fiesta were established for people to experience the balloons. These include Heartful Day, a day geared toward handicapped members of the community; and Kids Day, a hot air balloon classroom for children.
